      PEDAGOGICAL MODEL STEP 1

      * Introduction to the wide world of skeletal anchors in orthodontics. Definition, classification, design.
      * Everything you need to know about anatomy to be successful placing mini-implants.
      * The role of soft tissues in the stability and biomechanical efficiency of skeletal anchors.
      * The bone, the main protagonist in the stability of mini-implants. Principles of bone-anchor interface formation.
      * Fundamental concepts of biomechanics that you should know to manage skeletal anchors in orthodontics.
      * Imaging for NON-radiologists. 2D and 3D diagnosis focused on skeletal anchors.
      * Digital flow in diagnosis, planning and placement of mini-implants.
      * Round table. Resolving doubts. Questions and answers session.
      * Presentation of teachers and participants
      * Knowing different designs, brands of mini-implants and placement tools. General characteristics and characteristics by commercial houses.
      * Anatomy Review: Assessment of anatomical structures on dry skulls. New anatomical zones.

      * Knowing different designs, brands of mini-implants and placement tools. General characteristics and characteristics by commercial houses. Theory and workshop.
      * General insertion procedures with practice on wooden cubes
      * Anatomy Review: Assessment of anatomical structures on dry skulls. New anatomical zones.
      * Extra-alveolar Anchor Insertion Procedures
      * Interradicular and palatal Anchor Insertion Procedures
      * Practice of placing TSADs in animal model
      * Workshop on 3D Assessment of anatomical structures in CBCT for anchor placement. Use of specialized software for creating insertion guides
      * How to carry out effective biomechanical designs on mini-implants; includes maxillary expansion assisted with mini implants.
      * Hands on: Cantilever doubling for molar straightening and for traction of impacted teeth and intrusion arches on mini-implants
      * Clinical cases of use of mii-implants in various malocclusions: Space closure, Distalization, Included teeth, Open bites
      * MARPE – Appliance design, insertion sites and specific procedures for expansion.
      * Workshop on recognition and biomechanics of appliances assisted with Mini-implants
      * Crossing borders in the clinical applications of mini-implants. Orthopedic changes and complex cases
      * Secrets of effective management of skeletal anchors with aligners

      • Breakfast and introduction to the practice at CLEMI
      • Assessment of anatomical structures and insertion of extra-alveolar mini-implants: High and low infrazygomatic ridge.
      • Assessment of anatomical structures and insertion of extra-alveolar mini-implants: Buccal shelf and mandibular branch
      • Assessment of anatomical structures and insertion of inter-radicular and palate mini-implants
      • Dissections of the sites where the mini-implants were placed
